Monatts Music Video Rough Cut

This is my music video rough cut because it finished at 01:53secs, when the track is 02:58secs, so the music video seems as if it has been rushed. There are no clear camera shots, but mid shots. The camera starts off shakey and way too zoomed into the star motif to understand exactly what is going on in the music video. Within the music video you can also hear me and others talking within the music video, saying things like 'camera speeding' and 'playback,' so we can see how this music video hasn't been professionaly edited, as the audio hasn't beeen muted before putting the actual track overlaying the music video. The quality of the music video looks poor due to the type of editing that has been produced, there is no actual syncing to the star motif and the audio. We can't see any relationshi0p between the audio and the illustration, which makes it pretty frustrating for the audience. There are no proper effects for when the screen switches to the next scene. This is a Low Quality music video evidently to myself and the audience.

  1. Hi Monatts,

I think the main thing about your rough cut is that the audience gets a real sense of the atmosphere through the mise-en-scene. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the make-up, props, setting etc. This video has lots of potential. I'd like to see you develop this theme of the singer going slowly mad because the boy isn't answering her call - I think all women can relate to this!!! We're really looking forward to see the final cut!
